NOTIFICATION

No.17/97/2021-3IP3/2099.-

Policy for allowing use of the land belonging to Water Resources Department for laying pipelines of any type/cables including the crossings.

The application for above said purpose complete with the drawings based on the plans table survey along with X-sections of canal/drain and the details of the pipelines/cabel and the technology to be used for laying (i.e. open trench or tunnelling) along with processing charges shall be made to the concerned Executive Engineer, who after examining the proposal shall forward the case to superintending Engineer, who after examining the proposal shall forward the case to Superintending Engineer for getting the clearance from Chief Engineer/Design Water Systems before issuing the approval. If the case is found fit in-principal, the applicant needs to deposit the following fee/charges to the concerned Executive Engineer as mentioned in table below:-

Only upon the deposition of fee/charges in advance, permission to start the work will be granted.

Keeping in view the safety of canal/drain and their structures. Chief Engineer Design/Competent Authority reserves the right to accept or reject the application without assigning any reason. The format of application is enclosed as Annesure-A.

This policy supersedes all the other policies, if any, for crossing any Pipe Line & cable etc. along/across canals & drainage system/rivers of Water Resources Department Punjab.
