FINANCE (EXCISE) DEPARTMENT

NOTIFICATION

Jaipur, April, 1, 2026

G.S.R.01 .-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 41 of the Rajasthan Excise Act, 1950 (Act No.II of 1950), the State Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Rajasthan Excise Rules, 1956 and orders with reference to the proviso to sub- section (3) of the said section that the previous publication of these amendment rules is dispensed with as the State Government considers that they should be brought into force at once, namely:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Rajasthan Excise (Amendment) Rules, 2026. (2) They shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of rule 54.- In rule 54 of the Rajasthan Excise Rules, 1956,-

(i) in clause (a), for the existing expression "Rs. 2000", the expression "Rs.2500" shall be substituted;

(ii) in clause (b), for the existing expression "Rs. 12000", the expression "Rs.20000" be substituted;

(iii) in clause (c), for the existing expression "Rs. 12000", the expression "Rs. 20000" be substituted; and

(iv) after the existing second proviso, the following new proviso shall be added, namely:-

"Provided also that if any term or condition of the occasional license is violated, such occasional license and registration of the registered commercial premises and hotel bar license shall be cancelled and also a penalty of fifty thousand rupees shall be imposed."
