तथा अधिसचनाएं TRANSPORT & ROAD SAFETY DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATION Jaipur, July 02, 2026 S.O.25 .-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Rajasthan Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1951 (Act No.11 of 1951), the State Government being of the opinion that it is expedient in public interest so to do, hereby exempts, the motor vehicle registered in the National Capital Region of Rajasthan, on or after the date of issue of "Naya Safar Yojna", to replace old BS-4 and prior norms transport vehicles registered upto 31.05.2026 with BS-6 Diesel/ CNG or stricter norms or electric vehicles, which are eligible for exemption under the said "Naya Safar Yojna" from payment of tax payable under section 4 of the said Act, as under:-

(a) 100 percent of One Time Tax, on registration of a BS-6 or stricter norms new vehicle against submission of "Certificate of Deposit" of a BS-4 or prior norms vehicle registered in National Capital Region of Rajasthan;

(b) 100 percent of Motor Vehicle Tax, for ten years, on registration of a BS-6 or stricter norms new vehicle against submission of "Certificate of Deposit" of a BS-4 or prior norms vehicle registered in National Capital Region of Rajasthan;

(c) 50 percent of One Time Tax on purchase of an already registered as BS-6 or stricter norms vehicle against submission of "Certificate of Deposit" of a BS-4 or prior norms vehicle registered in National Capital Region of Rajasthan;

(d) 50 percent of Motor Vehicle Tax for ten years on purchase of an already registered as BS-6 or stricter norms vehicle against submission of "Certificate of Deposit" of a BS- 4 or prior norms vehicle registered in National Capital Region of Rajasthan;

(e) 100 percent of One Time Tax on registration of a BS-6 or stricter norms new vehicle against submission of proof of transfer of ownership, outside National Capital Region or National Clean Air Program City, of a BS-4 vehicle registered in National Capital Region of Rajasthan;

(f) 100 percent of Motor Vehicle Tax for ten years on registration of a BS-6 or stricter norms new vehicle against submission of proof of transfer of ownership, outside National Capital Region or National Clean Air Program City, of a BS-4 vehicle registered in National Capital Region of Rajasthan;

(h) 50 percent of Motor Vehicle Tax for ten years on purchase of an already registered as BS-6 or stricter norms vehicle against submission of proof of transfer of ownership, outside National Capital Region or National Clean Air Program City, of a BS-4 vehicle registered in National Capital Region of Rajasthan,

subject to condition that the,-

(i) new vehicle purchased from the State of Rajasthan only;

(ii) new vehicle registered against Certificate of Deposit must be of same category of vehicle such as Light, Medium and heavy; and

(iii)benefit under this notification shall not be allowed against Certificate of Deposit purchased from other person.

Explanation.- For the purpose of this notification,-

(i) "Certificate of Deposit" shall have the same meaning as assigned to it in clause (c) of sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the Motor Vehicle (Registration and Functions of Vehicle Scrapping Facility) Rules, 2021; and

(ii) Naya Safar Yojna" means Naya Safar Yojna issued by the Government of India.
