In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-sections (1) and (3) of Section 11 of the Anna University Act, 1978 (Tamil Nadu Act 30 of 1978), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints Dr. M.K. Surappa, Honorary Professor, Department of Materials Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore as Vice-Chancellor, Anna University, Chennai for a period of three years from the date of his assuming ofﬁ ce.
