In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of Rule 9 of the Indian Police Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, read with sub-regulation (1) of regulation 9 of the Indian Police Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955, the President is pleased to appoint the following members of Tamil Nadu Police Service to the Indian Police Service on probation and to allocate them to the Tamil Nadu Cadre under sub- rule (1) of the rule 5 of the Indian Police Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954 :-
2. The appointments will be subject to the outcome of the following Appeals:-
(i) Writ Appeal (MD) No.1360/2014 fi led by Shri P. Perumal, S. Maheswaran and T.K. Rajasekaran before the Hon'ble High Court of Madras at Madurai Bench against the Order dated 29-10-2010 of the Hon'ble High Court in WP(MD) No.3547/2006 fi led by Shri N. Manivannan.
(ii) Writ Appeal No.871/2017 fi led by Shri S.R. Senthilkumar before the Hon'ble High Court of Madras against the order dated 22-06-2017 of the Hon'ble High Court in W. P. No.11294/2017 fi led by Dr. M. Sudhakar.
3. The aforesaid offi cers will remain on probation for one year as per rule of Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954 and the offi cers will obtain induction training as per54 TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE [Part I sub-rule 5(4) of Indian Police Service (Probation) Rules, 1954 as amended dated 10-05-2011.
