The following amendment is issued to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Prison Service Medal Rules, made in the Government Order second read above.

In the said Rules, - the following shall be substituted in rule 12, namely:—

For Outstanding Devotion to Duty Existing Lumpsum Grant Enhanced Lumpsum Grant

Rs.4000/- Rs.5000/-

Grade I Warders and Grade II Warders, Chief Head Warder, Gate Keeper and equivalent ranks.

For Outstanding Devotion to Duty Existing Lumpsum Grant Enhanced Lumpsum Grant

Rs. 6,000/- Rs.10.000/-

Assistant Jailors, Deputy Jailors and other equivalent ranks.

Rs.10,000/- Rs.15,000/-

Offi cers in the Tamil Nadu Jail Service upto the rank of Superintendent of Prisons (Selection Grade).

2. The above revision will take effect immediately.

3. This orders issues with concurrence of the Finance Department- vide its U.O.No.13670/Home-II/2018, dated 28-03-2018.

The following amendment is issued to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Prison Medal for Good Service (Pongal Day Medal) Rules, made in the Government Order fi rst read above.

In the said Rules, - the following shall be substituted in rule 10, namely:—

The Medal will carry a monthly allowance of Rs. 300/- per month for Grade I & Grade II Warders. The above allowance will be paid even if a recipient is promoted to a higher rank after the award of the medal and till his retirement.

2. The above revision will also be applicable to the recipients of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Prison Medal for Good Service on the occasion of Pongal Day 2018.

3. This orders issues with concurrence of the Finance Department-vide its U.O. No.13704/Home-II/2018, dated 28-3-2018.

Draft Amendment to the Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service)

(Tamil Nadu) Rules.

[G.O. Ms. No. 46, Labour and Employment (K2), 10th April 2018, பங்குனி 27, ஹேவிளம்பி, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு-2049.] No. SRO A-21/2018.—The following draft of amendment to the Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) (Tamil Nadu) Rules, 1983, which it is proposed to made in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 35 of the inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1979 (Central Act 30 of 1979) is hereby published as required by the said sub-section (1) of Section 35 of the said Act. 2. Notice is hereby given that the draft amendment will be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of the period of one month from the date of publication of this Ntofi cation in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette. Any objection or suggestion which may be received from any person with respect thereto, before the expiry of the aforesaid period will be considered by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Objection or suggestion, if any, should be addressed to the Principal Secretary to Government, Labour and Employment Department, Secretariat, Chennai-600 009 through the Commissioner of Labour, Chennai-600 006.

In the said rules, after sub-rule (2), of rule 56, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:—

''Provided that no annual return in Form-XXIV need be sent by the Principal employer, if—

(a) a combined annual return in Form XIII as required in rule 42 of the Tamil Nadu Catering Establishments Rules, 1959 is furnished; or

(b) a combined annual return in Form XII as required in sub-rule (ii) of rule 35 of the Tamil Nadu Beedi and Cigar Workers (Conditions of Employment) Rules, 1968 is furnished; or

(c) a combined annual return in Form No. 28 as required in rule 83 of the Tamil Nadu Plantations Rules, 1968 is furnished; or

(d) a combined annual return in Form XIX as required in rule 43 of the Tamil Nadu Motor Transport Workers Rules, 1965 is furnished''.
