APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSION OF INQUIRY TO INQUIRE INTO CAUSES AND CIRCUMSTANCES LEADING TO THE LAW AND ORDER DISTURBANCES WHICH LOOK PLACE ON 23rd JANUARY 2017 AT CHENNAI, MADURAI, COIMBATORE AND OTHER PARTS OF THE STATE FOLLOWING THE AGITATION FOR HOLDING OF JALLIKATTU UNDER THE COMMISSIONS OF INQUIRY ACT.
AMENDMENT TO NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1952 (Central Act LX of 1952), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Public (Law and Order-F) Department Notifi cation No. II(2)/PULO/76(f)/2017, published at Pages 1-2 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 31st January 2017, as subsequently amended:—
AMENDMENT
In the said Notifi cation, in paragraph 4, for the expression "sixteen months", the expression "nineteen months" shall be substituted.
