NOTIFICATIONS BY GOVERNMENT
RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND PANCHAYAT RAJ DEPARTMENT
AMENDMENT TO THE TAMIL NADU PANCHAYATS (FIXATION OF STRENGTH OF MEMBERS AND DIVISION OF WARDS) RULES, 1995.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 242 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1994), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Panchayats (Fixation of Strength of Members and Division of Wards) Rules, 1995:-
AMENDMENT.
In the said Rules, in rule 3, after sub-rule (3), the following sub-rule shall be added, namely:-
"(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rules (1), (2) and (3), the number of wards in every Village Panchayat, Panchayat Union Council and District Panchayat and the number of members to be returned by each ward shall be the same irrespective of their population as they exist on the date of commencement of the Tamil Nadu Delimitation Commission Act, 2017 (Tamil Nadu Act 23 of 2017), until the Government direct otherwise".

விதிகள், 1995- 3 ஆம் விதியை திருத்தம் செய்தல் பற்றிய அறிவிக்கை.

1994 ஆம் ஆண்டு தமிழ்நாடு ஊராட்சிகள் சட்டம் (தமிழ்நாடு சட்டம் 21/1994) 242 ஆம் பிரிவில் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ள அதிகாரங்களைக் கொண்டு தமிழ்நாடு ஆளுநர் அவர்கள், தமிழ்நாடு ஊராட்சிகள் (உறுப்பினர்கள் எண்ணிக்கையை நிர்ணயம் செய்தல் மற்றும் வார்டுகளை பிரித்தல்) விதிகள் 1995-ல் பின்வரும் திருத்தத்தை இதனால் செய்கிறார்:-
திருத்தம்
மேற்சொன்ன விதிகளில், விதி 3 இல், துணை விதி (3) க்கு பின்னர், பின்வரும் துணை விதி சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளப்பட வேண்டும்.
அதாவது:-
"(4) துணை விதிகள் (1),(2) மற்றும் (3) இல் என்ன செல்லியிருப்பினும், அரசு வேறுவகையில் உத்தரவிடும் வரையில், 2017 ஆம் ஆண்டு தமிழ்நாடு எல்லை மறுவரையறை ஆணைய சட்டம் (தமிழ்நாடு சட்டம் 23/2017) செயல்பட தொடங்குகிற நாளன்று, ஒவ்வொரு கிராம ஊராட்சி, ஊராட்சி ஒன்றியம் மற்றும் மாவட்ட ஊராட்சியிலுள்ள வார்டுகளின் எண்ணிக்கையும், ஒவ்வொரு வார்டிலிருந்து தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்ட உறுப்பினர்களின் எண்ணிக்கையும் மக்கள் தொகை எவ்வாறாக இருப்பினும் அதே எண்ணிக்கையில் ஒன்றாக இருத்தல் வேண்டும்".
