CONSTITUTION OF SELECTION COMMITTEE FOR SELECTING A MEMBERS OF THE TAMIL NADU ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION UNDER THE ACT. [G.O. Ms. No. 11, Energy (D1), 5th February 2019, தை 22, விளம்பி, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு-2050.] No. II(2)/EGY/117(h)/2019.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 85 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (Central Act 36 of 2003), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby constitutes a Selection Committee consisting of the following Members, for the purpose of Selecting a Member of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission:-
(i) Thiru. S.R. Singharavelu, Retired Judge of the Madras High Court Chairperson (ii) The Chief Secretary to the Government of Tamil Nadu Member
(iii) The Chairperson of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission Member
2. The Selection Committee shall:-
(a) Finalise the Selection of Member within three months from the date on which the reference is made to it;
(b) Recommend a panel of two names for every vacancy referred to it; and
(c) Satisfy itself, before recommending any person for appointment as Member of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission that such person does not have any fi nancial or other interest which is likely to affect prejudicially his function as Member.
