Under clause (dd) of section 2 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 (Central Act 59 of 1960), as amended by the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tamil Nadu Amendment), Act, 2017 (Act 1 of 2017), in partial supersession of the Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department Notifi cation No.II(2)/AHDF/29(c-1)/2019, published on pages 1-2 of Part II-Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 11th January, 2019, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby notifi es that Jallikattu may be conducted from 6th to 15th March, 2019 in the places specifi ed below:-
