NOTIFICATIONS BY GOVERNMENT

AMENDMENTS TO THE TAMIL NADU CO-OPERATIVE SUGAR MILLS MANAGERIAL COMMON CADRE SYSTEM RULES, 2018.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 180 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, 1983 (Tamil Nadu Act 30 of 1983), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Sugar Mills Managerial Common Cadre System Rules, 2018 published with the Industries Department Notifi cation No. SRO A-55(b)/2018, published at Page Nos. 1-20 of Part III –Section 1(a) of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 10th November, 2018.

In the said Rules,-
(1) for the expressions "Cadre Authority", wherever it occurs, the expression "Common Cadre Authority" shall be substituted;
(2) for the expressions "Boiler Operation Engineer", "Boiler Operation Engineering" and "Boiler Operation Engineering qualifi cation" wherever they occur, the expression "Certifi cate of Boiler Operation Engineer" shall be substituted;
(3) in rule 3, in sub-rule (g), for the expression "Cadre Controlling Authority", the expression "Common Cadre Authority" shall be substituted;
(4) in rule 8, in the tabular column, under Category-B,- 2 TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY (b) for the expression "133 (indicated in Annexure-A)" in column (2) against the entry "Cane Offi cer" in column (1) thereof, the expression "133 (indicated in Annexure-I) shall be substituted;
(5) in rule 9,-
(a) under the heading 'II. Category-B Deputy Chief Offi cers (By promotion)', in the tabular column, for the expression "M.Tech.(Sugar)" in column (3) against the entry 'Deputy Chief Engineer' in column (2) thereof, the expression "M.Tech (Sugar Engineering) and Certifi cate of Boiler Operation Engineer" shall be substituted;
(b) for the heading "III.(i) category B: Deputy Chief Offi cers. (Entry level cadre) (By Direct Recruitment)", the heading "III.(i) category B: other than Deputy Chief Offi cers. (Entry Level Cadre) (By Direct Recruitment)" shall be substituted;
(c) Under the heading 'III.(i) category B: other than Deputy Chief Offi cers (Entry Level Cadre) (By Direct Recruitment)' as so amended, under the sub-heading '1. Assistant Engineer', in the tabular column, the heading "Posting of Boiler Operation Engineer Exam" in column (4), shall be deleted;
(d) for the heading "III.(ii) category B Deputy Chief Offi cers (Entry Level Cadre) (By promotion)", the heading "III.(ii) category B other than Deputy Chief Offi cers (Entry Level Cadre) (By Promotion)"shall be substituted;
(e) under the heading 'III.(ii) category B other than Deputy Chief Offi cers (Entry Level Cadre) (By promotion)'as so amended, under the sub-heading '1.Assistant Engineer', in the tabular column, for the qualifi cation in column (3) against the post 'Assistant Engineer (Mechanical)' in column (2) and the expression '3 years experience' in column (4), the following qualifi cation shall be substituted, namely:-
"Junior Engineer(Mechanical) / Draughtsman with B.E. Degree and Associateship of National Sugar Institute / Associateship of Vasantdada Sugar Institute and Certifi cate of Boiler Operation Engineer".
(6) in rule 17, in clause (i), for sub-clause (b), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:-
"(b) Earned Leave – 1 day for every 12 days subject to a maximum of 240 days including their service if any in C & D category";
(7) in the Annexure-II, in Form No.1, in the tabular column, for the heading in column (7), the following heading shall be substituted, namely:-
"If not held in own name of the Common Cadre Offi cer, state in whose name held and his/her relationship if any to the Common Cadre Offi cer".
