In exercise of the powers conferred by section 375-B of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920 (Tamil Nadu Act V of 1920), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department Notifi cation No.II(2)/MAWS/687(c-1)/2016, published at pages 1 to 11 of Part II - Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 24th October 2016, as subsequently amended.

2. This amendment shall come into force with effect on and from the 1st July 2019.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9-A of the Dindigul City Municipal Corporation Act, 2013 (Tamil Nadu Act 25 of 2013), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department Notifi cation No. II(2)/MAWS/687(c-14)/2016, published at page 18 of Part II - Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary dated the 24th October 2016, as subsequently amended.

2. This amendment shall come into force with effect on and from the 1st July 2019.

[G.O. Ms. No. 83, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (Election), 28th June 2019,

The Hosur City Municipal Corporation Act, 2019 (Tamil Nadu Act 10 of 2019) wherein Section 3 inter-alia provides for the establishment of Municipal Corporation for the city of Hosur and section 10 enables the Government to appoint Special Offi cer to the Hosur City Municipal Corporation;

AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint Special Officer to exercise the powers and to discharge the functions of the Hosur City Municipal Corporation under the Hosur City Municipal Corporation Act, 2019 (Tamil Nadu Act 10 of 2019), until the day on which the fi rst meeting of the council of the said Corporation is held after ordinary elections to the said Corporation after the date of commencement of the said Act or until the 31st day of December 2019, whichever is earlier.

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Hosur City Municipal Corporation Act, 2019 (Tamil Nadu Act 10 of 2019), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the Commissioner of Hosur City Municipal Corporation, as the Special Offi cer of the Corporation.

2. This Notifi cation shall come into force with effect on and from the 1st July 2019.

NOTIFICATION - XVI

[G.O. Ms. No. 83, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (Election), 28th June 2019,

No. II(2)/MAWS/498(b-16)/2019.

WHEREAS section 3 of the Nagercoil City Municipal Corporation Act, 2019 (Tamil Nadu Act 11 of 2019) inter-alia provides for the establishment of Municipal Corporation for the city of Nagercoil and section 10 enables the Government to appoint Special Offi cer to the Nagercoil City Municipal Corporation;

AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint Special Offi cer to exercise the powers and to discharge the functions of the Nagercoil City Municipal Corporation under the Nagercoil City Municipal Corporation Act, 2019 (Tamil Nadu Act 11 of 2019), until the day on which the fi rst meeting of the council of the said Corporation is held after ordinary elections to the said Corporation after the date of commencement of the said Act or until the 31st day of December 2019, whichever is earlier.

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Nagercoil City Municipal Corporation Act, 2019 (Tamil Nadu Act 11 of 2019), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the Commissioner of Nagercoil City Municipal Corporation, as the Special Offi cer of the Corporation.

[G.O. Ms. No. 83, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (Election), 28th June 2019,

WHEREAS section 3 the Avadi City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2019 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 2 of 2019) inter-alia provides for the establishment of Municipal Corporation for the city of Avadi and section 10 enables the Government to appoint Special Offi cer to the Avadi City Municipal Corporation;

AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint Special Offi cer to exercise the powers and to discharge the functions of the Avadi City Municipal Corporation under the Avadi City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2019 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 2 of 2019), until the day on which the fi rst meeting of the council of the said Corporation is held after ordinary elections to the said Corporation after the date of commencement of the said Ordinance or until the 31st day of December 2019, whichever is earlier.

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Avadi City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2019 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 2 of 2019), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the Commissioner of Avadi City Municipal Corporation, as the Special Offi cer of the Corporation.

2. This Notifi cation shall come into force with effect on from the 1st July 2019.
