Tamil Nadu Acts and Ordinances
The following Act of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly received the assent
of the Governor on the 25th July 2019 and is hereby published for general
information:—
ACT No. 20 OF 2019.
An Act further to amend the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Act, 1971.
B(cid:3469) it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Tamil Nadu in the
Seventieth year of Republic of India as follows:—
1. (1) This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Short title and (Amendment) Act, 2019.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. In section 18 of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Act, 1971, in Amendment of Act 8 of 1971.
sub-section (2), under the heading "Class I - Ex-offi cio", for clauses (g) and (h), the Section 18.
following clauses shall be substituted, namely:—
"(g) Chief Conservator of Forests;
(h) Commissioner or Director of Agricultural Marketing and
Agri Business; and
(i) Registrar.".
