Draft Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.

No. SRO A-30/2019.— The following draft of an amendment to the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, which is proposed to be made in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 138 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988) read with sub-section (3) of Section 127 of the said Act, is hereby published for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby, as required by sub-section (1) of Section 212 of the said Act.
2. Notice is hereby given that the draft amendment will be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of 30 days from the date of publication of this Notification in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette and that any objection or suggestion, which may be received from any person with respect thereto before the date of expiry of the aforesaid period will be considered by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
3. Objection or suggestion, if any, should be addressed in duplicate to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Home, Prohibition and Excise Department, Chennai-600 009.

No. SRO A-31/2019.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Liquor Retail Vending (in Shops and Bars) Rules, 2003:-

In the said Rules, in rule 10, in sub-rule (5), for the expression "மது - நாட்டுக்கு, வீட்டுக்கு, உயிருக்கு கேடு, "Liquor - ruins country, family and life'', the following expression shall be substituted, namely:-
"CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL IS INJURIOUS TO HEALTH
மது அருந்துதல் உடல் நலத்திற்கு கேடு
BE SAFE - DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE
பாதுகாப்பாக இருப்பீர் - மது அருந்திவிட்டு வாகனம் ஓட்டாதீர்''.
Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Indian - Made Foreign Spirits (Manufacture) Rules.

No. SRO A-32/2019.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Indian-Made Foreign Spirits (Manufacture) Rules, 1981:-

In the said Rules, in rule 19, in sub-rule (6) in clause (iv), for the expression ''மது - நாட்டுக்கு, வீட்டுக்கு, உயிருக்கு கேடு.,'' the following expression shall be substituted namely:-
"CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL IS INJURIOUS TO HEALTH
மது அருந்துதல் உடல் நலத்திற்கு கேடு.
BE SAFE - DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE
பாதுகாப்பாக இருப்பீர் - மது அருந்திவிட்டு வாகனம் ஓட்டாதீர்''.

No. SRO A-33/2019.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Brewery Rules, 1983:-

In the said Rules, in rule 29,
(i) in sub-rule (3), in clause (vi) for the expression "Liquor -ruins country, family and life". "மது நாட்டுக்கு, வீட்டுக்கு, உயிருக்கு கேடு." the following expression shall be substituted, namely:-
"CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL IS INJURIOUS TO HEALTH
மது அருந்துதல் உடல் நலத்திற்கு கேடு.
BE SAFE - DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE
பாதுகாப்பாக இருப்பீர் - மது அருந்திவிட்டு வாகனம் ஓட்டாதீர்''.
(ii) in sub-rule (3A), in clause (vi) for the expression "Drinking Liquor - will ruin the family, Drinking liquor is injurious to health".
"மது - நாட்டுக்கு, வீட்டுக்கு, உயிருக்கு கேடு," the following expression shall be substituted, namely:-
"CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL IS INJURIOUS TO HEALTH
மது அருந்துதல் உடல் நலத்திற்கு கேடு.
BE SAFE - DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE
பாதுகாப்பாக இருப்பீர் - மது அருந்திவிட்டு வாகனம் ஓட்டாதீர் ''.

No. SRO A-34/2019.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Wine (Manufacture) Rules, 2006:-

In the said Rules, in rule 14, in clause (g) for the expression "Liquor -ruins country, family and life". "மது நாட்டுக்கு, வீட்டுக்கு, உயிருக்கு கேடு." the following expression shall be substituted, namely;-
"CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL IS INJURIOUS TO HEALTH
மது அருந்துதல் உடல் நலத்திற்கு கேடு.

Amendments to the Tamil Nadu Brewery Rules.

No. SRO A-35/2019.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Brewery Rules, 1983.

In the said Rules, in rule 29, in sub-rules (3) and (3A), for clause (iv), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-

Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Liquor (Supply by Wholesale) Rules.

Tamil Nadu Farmers Management of Irrigation Systems Election, Rules.

No. SRO A-37/2019.—In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 6A of the Tamil Nadu Farmers' Management of Irrigation System Election Rules, 2003, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the Special Commissioner and Commissioner for Revenue Administration and Disaster Management and Mitigation as competent authority to decide the disputes relating to election of offi ce bearers of Managing Committee of Farmers' Organisation.
