RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND PANCHAYAT RAJ DEPARTMENT

APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL OFFICERS TO VILLAGE PANCHAYATS, PANCHAYAT UNIONS AND DISTRICT PANCHAYATS UNDER THE TAMIL NADU PANCHAYAT ACT, 1994.

AMENDMENT TO NOTIFICATION

[G.O.Ms.No.118, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (PR-1), 1st July 2020, ஆனி 17, சார்வரி, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு 2051]

No. II(2)/RDPR/383(f-2)/2020.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 261-A of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1994), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department Notifi cation No.II(2)/RDPR/687(d-1)/2016, published at page 1 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 24th October 2016, as subsequently amended.

2. The amendments shall come into force with effect on and from the 1st July 2020.

In the said Notifi cation,-

(1) for the expression "until the 30th day of June 2020", the expression "until the 31st day of December 2020" shall be substituted;

(2) for the expression "as Special Offi cers of the respective Village Panchayats", the expression "as Special Offi cers of the respective Village Panchayats in the districts of Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Vilupuram, Kallakurichi, Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Vellore, Ranipet and Tirupathur" shall be substituted.
