PLACE AND DATES FOR CONDUCTING JALLIKATTU - UNDER CLAUSE (DD) OF SECTION 2 OF THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS ACT, 1960 (CENTRAL ACT 59 OF 1960), AS AMENDED BY THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS (TAMIL NADU AMENDMENT) ACT, 2017 (ACT 1 OF 2017) .

Under clause (dd) of section 2 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 (Central Act 59 of 1960), as amended by the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tamil Nadu Amendment) Act, 2017 (Act 1 of 2017), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby notifi es the following amendment to the Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department Notifi cation in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, No.8, dated 5th January, 2021.

In the said Notifi cation for the words "Jallikattu may be conducted from 15th to 31st January 2021" the following shall be substituted:-
Jallikattu may be conducted from 14th to 31st January 2021.
