Acquisition of Lands

Notice under Section 15(1) of Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 (TN Act 34 of 2002) read with the Tamil Nadu Land Acquisition Laws (Revival of Operation, Amendment and Validation) Act, 2019.
The Government of Tamil Nadu having been satisfi ed that the lands specifi ed in the schedule below and situated in the Pallavaram Town, Survey No.3/1 part & etc., is required for Highways purpose i.e. for Construction of Grade Separator at the intersection of Sandhai Road and Kundrathur Road with GST Road at Pallavaram with pedestrian subway under Chennai Metropolitan Development Project Division-Ill, Guindy, Chennai-25 and it having already been decided that the entire amount of compensation to be awarded for the lands is to be paid out of funds controlled and managed by the Chief Engineer, Highways Projects, Chennai-16 and after having considered that cause shown by the owners or the other persons having interest in the said lands as the case may do hereby publish the following notice is issued under sub - section (1) of Section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 (Tamil Nadu Act 34/2002).
NOTICE
Under sub - section (1) of Section 15 of Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 (Tamil Nadu Act 34 of 2002), the Commissioner of Land Administration (FAC) hereby acquires the lands specifi ed in the schedule below and measuring 970.5 square meters to the same a little more or less are needed for the purpose of Construction of Grade Separator at the intersection of Sandhai Road and Kundrathur Road with GST Road at Pallavaram with pedestrian subway under Chennai Metropolitan Development Project Division - Ill, Chennai-32.
The plan of the lands are kept in the offi ce of the Special Deputy Collector(LA), Tamil Nadu Urban Development Project, Metro, Alandur, Chennai-16 and may be inspected on any day during offi ce hours.

No. 08/2021 In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 13 of the Criminal Procedure Code 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974), the High Court hereby appoints the following (i) 6 Tahsildars in Tiruppur District (ii) 4 Deputy Tahsildars in Kanyakumari District (iii) 8 Deputy Tahsildars in Tiruvannamalai District and (iv) 8 Deputy Tahsildars in Erode District, to undergo Magisterial Training for a period of 120 days, from the date of assumption of charge and confers upon them the ordinary powers conferable under this Code on a Judicial Magistrate to try such cases which were earlier triable and dealt with by an erstwhile Judicial Second Class Magistrate.
