Exemption granted to the Permanent and Temporary

Employees of Christian Medical College Vellore

Association, Vellore for the period of one year from

01-01-2021 to 31-12-2021 under the Employees State

Insurance Act.

[G.O. (Ms.) No. 80, Commercial Taxes and Registration (J1), 31st May 2021, வைகாசி 17, பிலவ, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு-2052.] No.II(2)/CTR/334/2021.—In exercise of the powers [G.O.(D). No. 203, Labour and Employment (L1), 24th May 2021, வைகாசி 10, பிலவ,

conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Central Act II of 1899) and in supersession of the Commercial Taxes and Registration Department, Notifi cation No.II(2)/CTR/795/2020, published at page 730 of Part II-Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 9th December 2020, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby remits the duty chargeable under Article 6 in Schedule-I to that Act on the instrument of Agreement relating to Deposit of Title Deeds, pawn or pledge by way of security for repayment of loan, to be executed in favour of a Bank or Financial Institution for securing repayment of loan availed by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) under the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Package/Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme.

Explanation: For the purpose. of this notifi cation, the expression 'Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises' shall have the same meaning assigned to it in the Notifi cation of the Government of India in the Ministry of Micro, Medium and Small Enterprises number S.0.2119 (E), published in Part II-Section 3-sub-section (ii) of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated the 26th June 2020, amended from time to time.

2. This notifi cation shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st April 2021 and shall remain in force upto and inclusive of the 31st December 2021.

No.II(2)/LE/336/2021.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 87 read with Section 91A of the Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948 (Central Act XXXIV of 1948), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby exempts the Permanent and Temporary Employees of Christian Medical College Vellore Association, Vellore from the operation of the said Act for the period of one year from 01.01.2021 to 31.12.2021.

(1) The above exemption is subject to the following conditions, namely:-

(a) The aforesaid Management wherein the employees are employed shall maintain a Register showing the names and designations of the exempted employees.

(b) Not withstanding the exemption, the employees shall continue to receive such benefi ts under the said Act to which they might have become entitled to on the basis of the contributions paid prior to the date from which exemption granted by this Notifi cation operates.

(c) The contribution for the exempted period, if already paid shall not be refunded.

(2) The employer of the said Management shall submit in respect of the period during which that Management was subject to the operation of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as "the said period") returns, in such form and containing such particulars as were due from it in respect of the said period under the Employees State Insurance (General) Regulations, 1950.

(ii) ascertaining whether registers and records were maintained as required by the Employees State Insurance (General) Regulations, 1950 for the said period; or

(iii) ascertaining whether the employees continue to be entitled to the benefi ts provided by the employer in cash and in kind, being benefi ts in consideration of which exemption is being granted under this Notifi cation; or
