Notice under sub-section (1) of Section 15 of Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 (Tamil Nadu Act 34/2002)

and Tamil Nadu Acquisition Laws (Revival of Operation, Amendment and Validation) Act 2019

(Tamil Nadu Act, 38/2019).

The Government of Tamil Nadu having been satisfi ed that the lands specifi ed in the schedule below here to be required for the public purpose, for the formation of new road from Thoothukkudi - Vanchimaniyachi through Highways Department, Therkuveerapandiapuram Village, Ottapidaram Taluk, in the District of Thoothukkudi through Highways Department, and it having already been decided that the entire amount of compensation to be awarded for the lands to be paid out of the funds controlled and managed by the Divisional Engineer (Highways), Construction and Maintenance, Thoothukkudi and after having considered the cause shown by the owners or the other persons having interest on such lands as the case may do hereby publish the following notice is issued under sub-section (1) of Section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 (TN Act 34 of 2002).

NOTICE

Under sub-section (1) of Section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001 (Tamil Nadu Act 34 of 2002) the hereby acquires the lands specifi ed in the schedule below and measuring to an extent of 135622 sq.mtrs. of Dry lands. To the same, a little more or less is needed for the purpose for the formation of new road from Thoothukkudi - Vanchimaniyachi - through Highways Department, through comprised in S.No. 39/1 and etc., Therkuveerapandiapuram Village, Ottapidaram Taluk, in the District of Thoothukkudi. The plan of the lands are kept in the Offi ce of the Collector, Thoothukkudi and Special Tahsildhar (LA) Ottapidaram Taluk, may be Inspected on any day during offi ce hours.

No. 180/2021—In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 18 and 13 of the Criminal Procedure Code 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974), the High Court hereby appoints the following (i) 5 Deputy Tahsildars in Nagapattinam District, (ii) 2 Tahsildars in Ariyalur District, (iii) 8 Deputy Tahsilars in Sivagangai District, (iv) 8 Tahsildars in Chennai District and (v) 8 Deputy Tahsilars in Villupuram District, to undergo Magisterial Training for a period of 120 days, from the date of assumption of charge and confers upon them the ordinary powers conferable under this Code on a Judicial Magistrate to try such cases which were earlier triable and dealt with by an erstwhile Judicial Second Class Magistrate.
