In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1982), the Governor of Tamil Nadu, after consultation with the Advisory Committee hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Construction Workers) Welfare Scheme, 1994 as subsequently amended.

In the said Scheme,-
(1) in clause 13, in sub-clause (1-A), for the expression "Rs.400/- (Rupees four hundred only)", the expression "Rs.500/- (Rupees fi ve hundred only)", shall be substituted;
(2) in clause 14, in sub-clause (1), for the expression "a sum of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees two thousand only)", the expression "a sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees fi ve thousand only)", shall be substituted;
(3) in clause 14A, in sub-clause (1), for the expression "a sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees fi fteen thousand only)", the expression "a sum of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only)" shall be substituted.

(i) in sub-clause (1), for the expression "Tamil Nadu Unorganised Drivers Social Security and Welfare Scheme", the expression "Tamil Nadu Unorganised Drivers and Automobile Workshop Workers Social Security and Welfare Scheme, 2006" shall be substituted;

(2) for sub-clause (3), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:-
"(3) The application for assistances specified in serial numbers 2 and 5 in column (1) of the Table in sub-clause (1), shall be in Form E in Schedule II, to be submitted after passing of the course, the application for assistances specifi ed in serial numbers 6 to 10 in column (1) of the said Table shall be in Form EE in Schedule II to be submitted before completion or passing of the course, and the application for assistances specifi ed in serial numbers 1, 3, 4 and 11 shall be in Form EEE and E(1) in Schedule II to be submitted before completion or passing of the course.".;
