In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 12 (1) and (3) of Periyar University Act 1997, the Hon'ble Governor–Chancellor hereby appoints Dr. R. Jagannathan, No.8/84-1, Keel Street, Thippampatti Post, Salem – 636 201, as Vice-Chancellor, Periyar University, Salem for a period of three years with eﬀect from the date of his assuming oﬃ ce.
