MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION AND WATER SUPPLY DEPARTMENT
AMENDMENTS TO THE TAMIL NADU MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS CONSTITUTION OF STANDING
COMMITTEES RULES, 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 8 of the Cuddalore City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 1 of 2021), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby modifi es the Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporations Constitution of Standing Committees Rules, 1997, by way of making the following amendment to the said Rules and also directs that the said Rules shall apply to the Cuddalore City Municipal Corporation, subject to the modifi cation hereby made:—

In the said Rules, in rule 2, for sub-rule (1), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:—
"(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-
(i) "Corporation" means the municipal corporation of Cudddalore;
(ii) "Council" means the council of municipal corporation of Cuddalore; and
(iii) "Ordinance" means the Cuddalore City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021
(Tamil Nadu Ordinance 1 of 2021).".

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 8 of the Kancheepuram City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 2 of 2021), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby modifi es the Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporations Constitution of Standing Committees Rules, 1997, by way of making the following amendment to the said Rules and also directs that the said Rules shall apply to the Kancheepuram City Municipal Corporation, subject to the modifi cation hereby made:—
2 TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY(ii) "Council" means the council of Municipal Corporation of Kancheepuram; and
(iii) "Ordinance" means the Kancheepuram City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021
(Tamil Nadu Ordinance 2 of 2021).".

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 8 of the Sivakasi City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 3 of 2021), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby modifi es the Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporations Constitution of Standing Committees Rules, 1997, by way of making the following amendment to the said Rules and also directs that the said Rules shall apply to the Sivakasi City Municipal Corporation, subject to the modifi cation hereby made:—

In the said Rules, in rule 2, for sub-rule (1), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:—

(ii) "Council" means the Council of Municipal corporation of Sivakasi; and
(iii) "Ordinance" means the Sivakasi City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021

In the said Rules, in rule 2, for sub-rule (1), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:—

(ii) "Council" means the council of Municipal Corporation of Karur; and
(iii) "Ordinance" means the Karur City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021
