Amendment to the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Rules
[G.O. Ms. No. 486, Home (Transport-III), 15th November 2021, ஐப்பசி 29, பிலவ, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு&2052.] No.SRO A-24/2021.— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 111 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, as the same having been previously published, as required by sub-section (1) of Section 212 of the said Act.

In the said Rules, in rule 364, after the proviso, the following proviso shall be added, namely:-
"Provided further that every battery operated auto rickshaw shall be painted in bottle
green colour on all sides of the body of the vehicle with a highway yellow band
of fifteen centimetres in width on the central portion of the body of the vehicle".
