In exercise of the powers conferred by section 375-B of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920 (Tamil Nadu Act V of 1920), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department Notifi cation No.II(2)/MAWS/687(c-1)/2016, published at pages 1 to 11 of Part II - Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 24th October 2016, as subsequently amended.

2. This amendment shall come into force with effect on and from the 1st January 2022.

2. This amendment shall come into force with effect on and from the 1st January 2022.

2. This amendment shall come into force with effect on and from the 1st January 2022.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Avadi City Municipal Corporation Act, 2019 (Tamil Nadu Act 24 of 2019), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department Notifi cation No.II(2)/MAWS/498(b-17)/2019, published at page 6 of Part II - Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 28th June 2019, as subsequently amended.

2. This amendment shall come into force with effect on and from the 1st January 2022.

[G.O.Ms. No.141, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (Election), 31st December 2021, மார்கழி 16, பிலவ, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு-2052.]

No. II(2)/MAWS/957(b-18)/2021.

WHEREAS section 3 of the Cudddalore City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 1 of 2021) inter-alia provides for the establishment of Municipal Corporation for the city of Cuddalore and section 10 enables the Government to appoint Special Offi cer to the Cuddalore City Municipal Corporation;

AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint a Special Offi cer to exercise the powers and to discharge the functions of the Cuddalore City Municipal Corporation under the Cuddalore City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 1 of 2021), until the day on which the fi rst meeting of the council of the said Corporation is held after ordinary elections to the said Corporation after the date of commencement of the said Ordinance or until the 30th day of June 2022, whichever is earlier;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Cuddalore City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 1 of 2021), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the Commissioner of Cuddalore City Municipal Corporation, as the Special Offi cer of the Corporation.

2. This Notifi cation shall come into force with effect on and from the 1st January 2022.

NOTIFICATION–XIX.

[G.O.Ms. No.141, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (Election), 31st December 2021, மார்கழி 16, பிலவ, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு-2052.]

No. II(2)/MAWS/957(b-19)/2021.

WHEREAS section 3 of the Kancheepuram City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 2 of 2021) inter-alia provides for the establishment of Municipal Corporation for the city of Kancheepuram and section 10 enables the Government to appoint Special Offi cer to the Kancheepuram City Municipal Corporation;

AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint a Special Offi cer to exercise the powers and to discharge the functions of the Kancheepuram City Municipal Corporation under the Kancheepuram City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 2 of 2021), until the day on which the fi rst meeting of the council of the said Corporation is held after ordinary elections to the said Corporation after the date of commencement of the said Ordinance or until the 30th day of June 2022, whichever is earlier;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Kancheepuram City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 2 of 2021), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the Commissioner of Kancheepuram City Municipal Corporation, as the Special Offi cer of the Corporation.

No. II(2)/MAWS/957(b-20)/2021.

WHEREAS section 3 of the Sivakasi City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 3 of 2021) inter-alia provides for the establishment of Municipal Corporation for the city of Sivakasi and section 10 enables the Government to appoint Special Offi cer to the Sivakasi City Municipal Corporation;

AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint a Special Offi cer to exercise the powers and to discharge the functions of the Sivakasi City Municipal Corporation under the Sivakasi City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 3 of 2021), until the day on which the fi rst meeting of the council of the said Corporation is held after ordinary elections to the said Corporation after the date of commencement of the said Ordinance or until the 30th day of June 2022, whichever is earlier;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Sivakasi City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 3 of 2021), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the Commissioner of Sivakasi City Municipal Corporation, as the Special Offi cer of the Corporation.

2. This Notifi cation shall come into force with effect on and from the 1st January 2022.

WHEREAS section 3 of the Karur City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 4 of 2021) inter-alia provides for the establishment of Municipal Corporation for the city of Karur and section 10 enables the Government to appoint Special Offi cer to the Karur City Municipal Corporation;

AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint a Special Offi cer to exercise the powers and to discharge the functions of the Karur City Municipal Corporation under the Karur City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 4 of 2021), until the day on which the fi rst meeting of the council of the said Corporation is held after ordinary elections to the said Corporation after the date of commencement of the said Ordinance or until the 30th day of June 2022, whichever is earlier;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Karur City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 4 of 2021), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the Commissioner of Karur City Municipal Corporation, as the Special Offi cer of the Corporation.

2. This Notifi cation shall come into force with effect on and from the 1st January 2022.

AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint a Special Offi cer to exercise the powers and to discharge the functions of the Tambaram City Municipal Corporation under the Tambaram City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 5 of 2021), until the day on which the fi rst meeting of the council of the said Corporation is held after ordinary elections to the said Corporation after the date of commencement of the said Ordinance or until the 30th day of June 2022, whichever is earlier;

WHEREAS section 3 of the Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 7 of 2021) inter-alia provides for the establishment of Municipal Corporation for the city of Kumbakonam and Section 10 enables the Government to appoint Special Offi cer to the Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation;

AND WHEREAS, it is necessary to appoint a Special Offi cer to exercise the powers and to discharge the functions of the Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation under the Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 7 of 2021), until the day on which the fi rst meeting of the council of the said Corporation is held after ordinary elections to the said Corporation after the date of commencement of the said Ordinance that is, 20th December 2021 or until the 19th day of June 2022, whichever is earlier;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation Ordinance, 2021 (Tamil Nadu Ordinance 7 of 2021), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the Commissioner of Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation, as the Special Offi cer of the Corporation.

2. This Notifi cation shall come into force with effect on and from the 1st January 2022.
