[ELECTIONS – TOWN PANCHAYATS, MUNICIPALITIES AND CORPORATIONS - CONDUCT OF - PREPARATION AND PUBLICATION OF ELECTORAL ROLLS - ELECTORAL REGISTRATION OFFICERS - AUTHORISATION OF - AMENDMENT TO NOTIFICATION - ISSUED.]

In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 8 of the Tamil Nadu Town Panchayats, Municipalities and Corporations (Elections) Rules, 2006 and also other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Tamil Nadu State Election Commission hereby makes the following amendment to S.O.No.56/2021/TNSEC/ME-1 dated 23-10-2021 published vide Notification No.500 published at Page 1 to 3 of Part VI — Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated 23-10-2021.
Amendment
In the said Notification, after NOTIFICATION - XI, the following NOTIFICATION - XII shall be added, namely:-

In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 8 of the Tamil Nadu Town Panchayats, Municipalities and Corporations (Elections) Rules, 2006, the State Election Commission hereby authorises the Commissioner of the Nagercoil, Sivakasi, Tambaram and Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporations as the Electoral Registration Officers for the purpose of preparing and publishing electoral rolls in respect of the Corporations and the wards lying within the respective Corporations.
