PLACES AND DATES FOR CONDUCTING JALLIKATTU / ERUTHU VIDUM VIZHA UNDER CLAUSE (DD) OF SECTION 2 OF THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS ACT, 1960 (CENTRAL ACT 59 OF 1960), AS AMENDED BY THE PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS (TAMIL NADU AMENDMENT), ACT, 2017 (ACT 1 OF 2017)

AMENDMENT TO NOTIFICATION

i. In addition to the references mentioned in the said G.O. the following shall be inserted as Sl.No.3 :-

Fishermen Welfare Department, Dated.10.01.2022.

ii. In the said Government Order in the paragraph under the title 'Notifi cation' the following phrase shall be inserted after the phrase, 'norms specifi ed in the Government Order 2nd':-

"and Government letter 3rd "

iii. The date 16.01.2022, wherever it occurs in the said Government Order shall be read as 17.01.2022.

Under clause (dd) of section 2 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 (Central Act 59 of 1960), as amended by the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tamil Nadu Amendment), Act, 2017 (Act 1 of 2017), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby notifi es that Jallikattu may be conducted on 17.01.2022 in the places specifi ed below subject to the adherence of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for prevention of Covid-19 spread, norms specifi ed in the Government Order 1st and Government letter 2nd read above and by following the restrictions announced by the State/District Disaster Management Authorities from time to time:-

PUDUKOTTAI DISTRICT

Under clause (dd) of section 2 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 (Central Act 59 of 1960), as amended by the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tamil Nadu Amendment), Act, 2017 (Act 1 of 2017), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby notifi es that Jallikattu may be conducted on 17.01.2022 in the places specifi ed below subject to the adherence of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for prevention of Covid-19 spread, norms specifi ed in the Government Order 1st and Government letter 2nd read above and by following the restrictions announced by the State/District Disaster Management Authorities from time to time:-

SALEM DISTRICT

Under clause (dd) of section 2 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 (Central Act 59 of 1960), as amended by the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tamil Nadu Amendment), Act, 2017 (Act 1 of 2017), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby notifi es that Jallikattu may be conducted on 21.01.2022 in the places specifi ed below subject to the adherence of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for prevention of Covid-19 spread, norms specifi ed in the Government Order 1st and Government letter 2nd read above and by following the restrictions announced by the State/District Disaster Management Authorities from time to time:-

COIMBATORE DISTRICT

Under clause (dd) of section 2 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 (Central Act 59 of 1960), as amended by the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tamil Nadu Amendment), Act, 2017 (Act 1 of 2017), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby notifi es that Jallikattu may be conducted in the places specifi ed below on the dates mentioned against each of them, subject to the adherence of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for prevention of Covid-19 spread, norms specifi ed in the Government Order 1st and Government letter 2nd read above and by following the restrictions announced by the State/ District Disaster Management Authorities from time to time:-

VELLORE DISTRICT

The above permission is being granted with a pre-condition that relevant Insurance documents and undertaking /Affi davits must be obtained before conduct of the Jallikattu event.

Under clause (dd) of section 2 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 (Central Act 59 of 1960), as amended by the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tamil Nadu Amendment), Act, 2017 (Act 1 of 2017), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby notifi es that Jallikattu / Eruthu Vidum Vizha may be conducted in the places specifi ed below on the dates mentioned against each of them, subject to the adherence of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for prevention of Covid-19 spread, norms specifi ed in the Government Order 1st and Government letter 2nd read above and by following the restrictions announced by the State/District Disaster Management Authorities from time to time:-

TIRUPATTUR DISTRICT

The above permission is being granted with apre-condition that relevant Insurance documents and undertaking /Affi davits must be obtained before conduct of the Jallikattu/Eruthu Vidum Vizha event.
