NOTIFICATIONS BY GOVERNMENT

AMENDMENTS TO THE TAMIL NADU LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY (TRANSIT BY RAILWAY
ALLOWANCE) RULES, 1987.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 12-A and 14 of the Tamil Nadu Payment of Salaries Act, 1951 (Tamil Nadu Act XX of 1951), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly (Transit by Railway Allowance) Rules, 1987.
2. The amendments hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st April 2020.
Amendments.
In the said Rules,-
(1) in rule 6, for the expression "by cheque", the expression "through Electronic Clearing System" shall be substituted;
(2) in rule 7,-
(i) for the expression "stamped receipt in duplicate", the expression "an advance stamped receipt" shall be substituted;
(ii) the expression "soon after the receipt of the cheque" shall be deleted;
(3) in the APPENDIX, in FORM-B,-
(i) for the heading, the following heading shall be substituted, namely;-
"Advance Stamped Receipt for payment of Transit by Railway Allowance"
(ii) for the expression "cheque bearing No………. dated………for", the expression "sum of" shall be substituted.
