CONSTITUTION OF STATE COMMITTEE ON DAM SAFETY MEMBERS AND ESTABLISHMENT OF STATE DAM SAFETY ORGANIZATION UNDER THE DAM SAFETY ACT, 2021.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Dam Safety Act, 2021 (Central Act 41 of 2021), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby constitutes the State Committee on Dam Safety with the following members for the purposes of the Act, namely :-

1. The Engineer-in-Chief and Chief Engineer (General), Water Resources Department, - Chairperson, Chennai

ex-officio.

2. The Chief Engineer, Water Resources Department, State Dam Safety Organisation. - Member 3. The Chief Engineer, Water Resources Department, Chennai Region. - Member 4. The Chief Engineer, Water Resources Department, Coimbatore Region. - Member 5. The Chief Engineer, Water Resources Department, Madurai Region. - Member 6. The Chief Engineer, Water Resources Department, Trichy Region.

- Member 7. The Chief Engineer / Hydro, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation - Member Ltd., Chennai.

8. The Director, Hydel Civil Design (East & North-East), Central Water Commission, - Member New Delhi, nominated by the Chairman, Central Water Commission.

1. The Chief Engineer.

2. The Superintending Engineer.

3. The Executive Engineer, Dam Documentation Cell.

4. Four Assistant Executive Engineers, Dam Documentation Cell.

5. Eight Assistant Engineers, Dam Documentation Cell.

6. The Executive Engineer, Dam Design and Hydrology Cell.

7. Three Assistant Executive Engineers, Dam Design and Hydrology Cell.

8. Ten Assistant Engineers, Dam Design and Hydrology Cell.

9. The Executive Engineer, Dam Hydro-mechanical Cell.
