APPOINTMENT OF ELECTION AUTHORITY AND RETURNING OFFICER OF THE TAMIL NADU WAQF BOARD (CONDUCT OF ELECTION FOR MEMBERS) RULES, 1997 UNDER THE WAQF ACT. [G.O. In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-rule (1) of Rule 3 of the Tamil Nadu Waqf Board (Conduct of Election for Members) Rules, 1997, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints Thiru. V. Sampath, I.A.S., Special Secretary to Government, Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department, Secretariat, Chennai-600 009, as Election Authority for the purpose of conducting election of Members of the Tamil Nadu Waqf Board as speciﬁ ed in clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 14 of the Waqf Act, 1995 (Central Act 43 of 1995).

S. Syed Khaseem, Deputy Secretary to Government, Commercial Taxes and Registration Department, Secretariat, Chennai-600 009, as Returning Oﬃ cer for the purpose of conducting election of Members of the Tamil Nadu Waqf Board as speciﬁ ed in clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 14 of the Waqf Act, 1995 (Central Act 43 of 1995).
