In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 16, 18, 18-A, 18-B, 20-A, 21, 23 and 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Rectified Spirit Rules, 2000:-
Amendments.
In the said Rules,-
(1) in rule 3,-
(i) in sub-rule (3), for the TABLE, the following TABLE shall be substituted, namely:-

AMENDMENT TO THE TAMIL NADU DISTILLERY RULES, 1981.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 17-B, 17-C, 17-D, 17-E, 18, 18-B, 18-C and 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Distillery Rules, 1981:-
Amendment.
In the said Rules, in rule 3, in sub-rule (b), for the expression commencing with the words "treasury receipts" and ending with the words "twenty thousand", the following expression shall be substituted, namely:-
"treasury receipts in proof of payment of an application fee of rupees three thousand, a fee of rupees ten lakhs for the grant of privilege of manufacturing spirit and a licence fee of rupees twenty five thousand.".
AMENDMENTS TO THE TAMIL NADU INDIAN-MADE FOREIGN SPIRITS (MANUFACTURE) RULES, 1981.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 17-B, 17-C, 17-D, 17-E, 21 and 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Indian-made Foreign Spirits (Manufacture) Rules, 1981:-
Amendments.
In the said Rules,-
(1) in rule 4, in sub-rule (b), for the expression commencing with the words "treasury receipts" and ending with the words "twenty thousand", the following expression shall be substituted, namely:-
"treasury receipts in proof of the payment of an application fee of rupees five thousand, a fee of rupees ten lakhs for the grant of privilege of manufacturing Indian-made foreign spirits and a licence fee of rupees twenty five thousand.";
TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY 3(2) in rule 22, in sub-rule (4), for the expression "Re.1/-(Rupee one only)", the expression "Rs.6/-(Rupees six only)" shall be substituted.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 17-B, 17-C, 17-D, 17-E, 21 and 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Brewery Rules, 1983:-
Amendments.
In the said Rules,-
(1) in rule 4, in sub-rule (2), for the expression commencing with the words "treasury receipts" and ending with the words "twenty thousand", the following expression shall be substituted, namely:-
"treasury receipts in proof of the payment of an application fee of rupees five thousand, a fee of rupees ten lakhs for the grant of privilege of manufacturing beer and an additional fee of rupees one lakh twenty five thousand for grant of privilege of manufacturing draught beer and a licence fee of rupees twenty five thousand.";
(2) in rule 26, in sub-rule (2), for the expression "rupees two" the expression "rupees four" shall be substituted;
(3) in rule 32-A, in sub-rule (2), for the expression commencing with the words "rupees one lakh" and ending with the words "and other Countries", the following expression shall be substituted, namely:-
"rupees one lakh fifty thousand for export of beer to other States/ Union Territories only, rupees three lakhs for export of beer to other Countries only and rupees four lakhs fifty thousand for export of beer to both other States/Union Territories and other Countries.";
(4) in rule 32-B, in sub-rule (1), for the expression "rupees ten", the expression "rupees twenty" shall be substituted.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Mass Wine Rules, 1984:-
Amendment.
In the said Rules, in rule 4, in sub-rule (2), for the expression commencing with the words "treasury receipts" and ending with the words "rupees hundred", the following expression shall be substituted, namely:-
"treasury receipts in proof of the payment of an application fee of rupees eight hundred, a fee of rupees thirty thousand for the grant of privilege of manufacturing Mass Wine and a licence fee of rupees four hundred.".

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Wine (Manufacture) Rules, 2006:-
Amendments.
In the said Rules, in rule 4, in sub-rule (2),-
(1) in clause (b), for the expression "Rs.4,000/- (Rupees Four thousand only)", the expression "Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand only)" shall be substituted;

"treasury receipt in proof of payment of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten lakhs only) for the grant of privilege of manufacture of Wine and treasury receipt in proof of payment of a licence fee of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty five thousand only).";
(3) in rule 12, for the expression "Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakhs only)", the expression "Rs.6,00,000/- (Rupees six lakhs only)" shall be substituted;
(4) in rule 13, for the expression "Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakhs only)" occurring in two places, the expression "Rs.6,00,000/- (Rupees six lakhs only)" shall be substituted;

AMENDMENTS TO THE TAMIL NADU DENATURED SPIRIT, METHYL ALCOHOL AND VARNISH (FRENCH POLISH) RULES, 1959.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Denatured Spirit, Methyl Alcohol and Varnish (French Polish) Rules, 1959:-
Amendments.
In the said Rules, in rule 8, in sub-rule (a),-
(i) under the heading "D.L.I Licence for Wholesale vend of Denatured spirit and Methylated spirit", for the expression "Rs.1,000 (Rupees one thousand only)", the expression "Rs.10,000 (Rupees ten thousand only)" shall be substituted;
(ii) under the heading "D.L.2- Licence for possession and use of denatured spirit, methylated spirit or methyl alcohol in the manufacture of specified commodities other than Varnish", in paragraph (1), for the TABLE, the following TABLE shall be substituted, namely:-

(Rupees ten thousand only).";
TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY 5(iv) under the heading "D.L.5 Licence for possession and use of denatured spirit in the manufacture of varnish and use or sale of varnish", for the expression "Rs.1,000", the expression "Rs.10,000" shall be substituted;
(v) under the heading "D.L.6 Licence for possession and use of Varnish", for the expression "Rs.500", the expression "Rs.2,000" shall be substituted;
(vi) in the heading "D.L.7. Licence for Possession of Varnish by an officers of the Southern Railways for use and distribution to outstations or other railway institutions in Madras State and/or in other States under his control", for the expression, "Madras State", the expression "State of Tamil Nadu" shall be substituted;
(vii) under the heading "D.L.7 Licence for Possession of Varnish by an officers of the Southern Railways for use and distribution to outstations or other railway institutions in Madras State and /or in other States under his control", as so amended, for the expression"Rs.200", the expression "Rs.1,000" shall be substituted;
(viii) under the heading "D.L.8 Licence for the sale of Varnish" in clause (a), for the expression "Rs.1,000 (Rupees one thousand only)", the expression "Rs.4,000 (Rupees four thousand only)" shall be substituted.

Amendments.
In the said Rules, in rule 7,-

In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 17C, 17D, 17-E, 18-B, 18-C, 20 and 21 and 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu, hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Liquor (Licence and Permit) Rules, 1981:-
Amendments.
In the said Rules,-
(1) in rule 17, in sub-rule (b),-
(i) in clause II,-
(a) for the expression "an annual privilege fee of Rs.12,00,000/- (Rupees twelve lakhs only) for Chennai City and Rs.8,00,000/- (Rupees eight lakhs only) for the other areas, a licence fee of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) and an application fee of Rs.7,500/-(Rupees seven thousand five hundred only)", the expression "an annual privilege fee of Rs.15,00,000/- (Rupees fifteen lakhs only) for Chennai City and Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees ten lakhs only) for the other areas, a licence fee of Rs.30,000/-(Rupees thirty thousand only) and an application fee of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only)" shall be substituted;

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 54 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937 (Tamil Nadu Act X of 1937), the Governor of Tamil Nadu, hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Spirituous Preparations (Control) Rules, 1984:-
Amendments.
In the said Rules,-
(1) in rule 7,-
(i) in sub-rule (1), for the expression "Rs.5/- (Rupees five only)", the expression "Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty only)" shall be substituted;
(ii) in sub-rule (5), for the expression "Rs.150/- (Rupees one hundred and fifty only)", the expression "Rs.500/-(Rupees five hundred only)" shall be substituted;
(iii) in sub-rule (6), for the expression"Rs.25/-(Rupees twenty five only)", the expression "Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only)" shall be substituted;

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 10 read with Section 78 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (Central Act 61 of 1985), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Narcotic Drugs Rules, 1985:-
Amendments.
In the said Rules,-
(1) In rule 4, for the expression, "the fee of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only)", the expression, "the fee of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only)" shall be substituted;
(2) in rule 5, for the expression, "the fee of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only)", the expression, "the fee of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only)" shall be substituted;
(3) in rule 21, in sub-rule(3), for the expression, " the fee of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only)", the expression, "the fee of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only)" shall be substituted;
(4) In APPENDIX, in FORM ND/RC, for the expression, "the registration fee of Rs.1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only)", the expression, " the registration fee of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only)" shall be substituted.
