No. II(2)/HO/894/2023.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3-A of the Tamil Nadu Civil Courts Act, 1873 (Central Act III of 1873) and in supersession of Home Department Notification No. II(2)/HO/487/2021 puplished at page 298 of Part II—Section 2 of the No. II(2)/CTR/891/2023.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Central Act II of 1899), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Notification No.II(2)/CTR/191/2023 published in page 163 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette No. 9, dated 01.03.2023:-

Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated 11.08.2021, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints one Additional District Judge to the District Court at Villupuram for the purpose of posting him as the Judge of the District and Sessions Court at Villupuram District and also alters the number of District Judge and Additional District Judges to be appointed to the said District Court as Nine with effect on and from the date on which the Special Judge, Special Court for trial of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act cases at Villupuram, assumes charge as Additional District Judge, Villupuram.

c. This Medal will be circular in shape, made of Cupro-Nickel 35mm in diameter and fitted to a plain horizontal bar with standard fitness.

d. It shall have embossed on the obverse the image of the Women above the image have "தமிழ்நாடு காவல்துறை" and at the bottom surrounded by the Year 1973-2023 (to which The Golden Jubilee Celebration). On the reverse of it, it will have inscribed the words in the middle circle "தமிழ்நாடு காவல்துறை" above and the state moto "வாய்மையே வெல்லும்" below with the Temple motif in the center and outer circle it will have inscribed the words "காவல்துறையில் பெண்கள்-பொன்விழா ஆண்டு தமிழ்நாடு காவல்துறை 1973 - 2023" e. The Medal shall be worn suspended from the left breast by a silk Ribbon of white and Lavender colour.

ONo. II(2)/HO/895/2023.—The Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has made an announcement on 17.3.2023 for a award of a new Medal to all Women Police Officers/ Personnel of the State to commemorate the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Women Police Force in Tamil Nadu Police (1973-2023):-

"பொன்விழா கொண்டாடும் இந்த ஆண்டில், பெண் காவல் ஆளினர்களின் திறமையை முழுமையாக அங்கீகரிக்கும் விதமாக, பெண்களை முதன்முறையாக காவல் பணியில் ஈடுபடுத்திய முத்தமிழறிஞர் தலைவர் கலைஞர் அவர்களது நினைவாக, அவரது பெயரில் கலைஞர் காவல் பணி விருது வழங்கப்படும்."

2. Pursuant to the announcement made by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on 17.03.2023, the Director General of Police/Head of Police Force in the letter first read above has proposed to institute a new Medal to award all Women Police Officers/Personnel (35,329) of Tamil Nadu Police to Commemorate the Golden Jubliee Celebration (1973-2023).

No. II(2)/HE/896/2023.—Under section 19 (2) (e) of Class II Other Members of the Annamalai University Act, 2013 the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby nominates Dr. S. Accordingly, the Government of Tamil Nadu instituted an award named "Women Police Force Medal" to embellish the "Golden Jubliee Celebration of Women Police Force in Tamil Nadu Police (1973-2023)" to award all Women Police Officers/Personnel (35,329) in all ranks of the Tamil Nadu Police and hereby makes the following Rules Governing the award of the said medal:-

a. This Medal shall be designated as "Golden Jubliee Celebration of Women Police Force Medal (1973-2023)"

b. This Medal may be confereed to all Women Police Officers and Personnel (35,329) in all ranks of the Tamil Nadu Police, as one time measure.
