EXPANSION OF CHENNAI REVENUE DISTRICT - CHANGE OF JURISDICTION OF TALUKS IN CHENNAI DISTRICT (CHENNAI CITY METROPOLITAN AREA) - APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTIVE MAGISTRATES AND ADDITIONAL DISTRICT MAGISTRATE UNDER THE CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE
AMENDMENT TO NOTIFICATION
[G.O.Ms.No.254, Home (Cts-VIA), 6th April 2024, பங்குனி 24, சோபகிருது, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு-2055.] No. II(2)/HO/302(b-1)/2024.
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 20 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Home Department Notification No.II(2)/HO/1871(f)/74 published at pages 1-4 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extra-ordinary, dated the 30th March 1974, as subsequently amended.
Amendment
In the said Notification, in the Table, for the entries in serial number 1 in column (i) and the corresponding entry in column (ii) thereof, the following entries shall, respectively, be substituted, namely:-
"1. Collector of Chennai … Chennai District
(Chennai City Metropolitan area).''
