No. I/PUSP/12/2024.—The following Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training, New Delhi, the 28th March, 2024 is republished:-

Order: No. 61, Human Resources Management (AR.III),

dated 16th February 2024.

As per the orders issued in the Government Order third read above, Thiru P. Dhanasekaran and Thiru M. Sreedhar, entered upon office as State Information Commissioners, Tamil Nadu Information Commission on 18.02.2021 F.N.

In exercise of powers conferred by Rule 8(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Recruitment) Rules, 1954, read with Regulation 9(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Appointment by Promotion) Regulations, 1955, the President is pleased to notify the Select List of State Civil Service officers of Tamil Nadu containing the following names prepared on 13.03.2024 under Regulation 5(5) and approved on 27.03.2024, under Regulation 7(2) towards filling up promotion quota vacancies in Tamil Nadu cadre of IAS under State Civil Service category determined by the Government of India under Regulation 5(1) of the said Regulations in consultation with the State Government for Select List of 2022:-

As per sub-section (2) of Section 16 of the Right to Information Act, 2005 (Central Act 22 of 2005) as amended in the Right to Information (Amendment) Act, 2019 and as per Rule 12 of the Right to Information (Term of Office, Salaries, Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Chief Information Commissioner, Information Commissioners in the Central Information Commission, State Chief Information Commissioner and State Information Commissioners in the State Information Commission) Rules, 2019, the State Chief Information Commissioner and State Information Commissioners, as the case may be, shall hold office for a period of three years from the date on which he enters upon his office. Accordingly, Thiru P. Dhanasekaran and Thiru M. Sreedhar, State Information Commissioners, Tamil Nadu Information Commission, completes their term of office of three years on 17.02.2024 .

3. It is hereby ordered, on completion of three years term, Thiru P. Dhanasekaran and Thiru M. Sreedhar, State Information Commissioners, Tamil Nadu Information Commission, shall cease to hold office on the afternoon of 17.02.2024 as provided in sub-section (2) of section 16 of the Right to Information Act, 2005 (Central Act 22 of 2005) as amended in the Right to Information (Amendment) Act, 2019 and as provided in Rule 12 of the Right to Information (Term of Office, Salaries, Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of service of Chief Information Commissioner,
