ANIMAL HUSBANDRY, DAIRYING, FISHERIES AND FISHERMEN WELFARE DEPARTMENT Places and Dates for Conducting Jallikattu / Erudhu Vidum Vizha for certain District under clause (dd) of Section 2 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 (Central Act 59 of 1960), as amended by the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tamil Nadu Amendment), Act, 2017 (Act 1 of 2017)

Protection Act, 2019 (Central Act 35 of 2019), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby directs Tmt. B. Jijaa, President of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Chennai (South) to exercise the powers and discharge the functions of the President of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Chennai (North) also, until the new President assumes charge in the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Chennai (North).

WHEREAS, complaints have been received from a number of depositors that M/s. Jothivel Emu Farms Private Limited and M/s. Jothivel Poultry Farms, Tiruppur District, fi nancial establishments, have defaulted the return of deposits made by the depositors after maturity;

AND WHEREAS, the Government is satisfi ed that the said fi nancial establishments are not likely to return the deposits to the depositors and hence, the Government have to protect the interests of such depositors;

No. II(2)/CFCP/498/2024.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of Section 32 of the Consumer AND WHEREAS, the immovable properties specifi ed in the Schedule to this order are alleged to have been procured by the said fi nancial establishments from and out of the deposits collected from the depositors;

Jothivel Poultry Farms, Tiruppur District functioned at Door No. 4/81, 5B, Ponkovil Nagar, Pollikalipalayam Post, Dharapuram Road, Tiruppur District, as specifi ed in the Schedule to this order and transfers the control over the said immovable properties to the Competent Authority, namely, the Competent Authority and District Revenue Offi cer, Tiruppur District appointed under the said Act.

3) The Special Public Prosecutor, Special Court for the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1997, Coimbatore is requested to render necessary assistance to the Competent Authority and District Revenue Offi cer, Tiruppur District in fi ling the application before the Special Court constituted under the said Act.

alleged to have been procured by the said fi nancial establishment from and out of the deposits collected from the depositors;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1997 (Tamil Nadu Act 44 of 1997), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes an ad-interim order attaching the immovable and movable properties of the defaulted fi nancial establishment, namely, Messrs Royal Commodity, Head Office at Door No. 336, SIDCO complex, LIC Colony, Coimbatore District and Branch Office at Door No. H-6, A.J.S. Towers, 3rd Street, Ellaikudi Post, Kattur, Thiruchirappalli-19 as specifi ed in the Schedule to this order and transfers the control over the said immovable and movable properties to the Competent Authority, namely, the Competent Authority and District Revenue Offi cer, Trichy District appointed under the said Act.

WHEREAS, complaints have been received from a number of depositors that Messrs. Royal Commodity, Trichy District, a fi nancial establishment, has defaulted the return of deposits made by the depositors after maturity;

AND WHEREAS, the Government are satisfi ed that the said fi nancial establishment is not likely to return the deposits to the depositors and hence, the Government have to protect the interests of such depositors;
