In exercise of the powers conferred under section 5 of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Act, 1998 (Tamil Nadu Act 9 of 1999) and sub-rule (4) of rule 112 of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Rules, 2023, the Tamil Nadu State Election Commission hereby fixes 05.08.2024 as the date for convening meetings to elect the Mayor, Vice Chairperson, Member of Taxation Appeal Committee and Member of Appointment Committee, shown in the Annexure, in accordance with the following programme:-
| 1. | Last date for service of notice for the meetings of election of Mayor, Vice Chairperson, Member of Taxation Appeal Committee and Member of Appointment Committee, as the case may be. | 28.07.2024 |
| 2. | Statutory interval | 29.07.2024 to 04.08.2024 |
