No. I/PUSP/33/2024.— The following Notification of the Election Commission of India, dated 8th November 2024 shall be re-published:-
G.O. Rt. No.4852, Public (Special.A) Department, dated 11-11-2024.
Order: No. 4853, Public (Special-A), dated 11th November 2024.
The Election Commission of India in consultation with the Government of Tamil Nadu has nominated Tmt. Archana Patnaik, IAS, Secretary to Government, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department as Chief Electoral Officer for the State of Tamil Nadu vice Thiru Satyabrata Sahoo, IAS.
"In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 13A of the Representation of the people Act, 1950 (43 of 1950), the Election Commission of India in consultation with the Government of Tamil Nadu hereby designates Ms. Archana Patnaik, IAS (TN:2002) as the Chief Electoral Officer for the State of Tamil Nadu with effect form the date she takes over charge and until further orders in place of Shri Satyabrata Sahoo, IAS.
2. Tmt. Archana Patnaik, IAS, appointed as Cheif Electoral Officer is designated also as Secretary to Government, Public (Elections) Department. 2. Ms. Archana Patnaik shall cease to hold and hand over forthwith the charge of all or any charges of work under the Government of Tamil Nadu, which she may be holding before such assumption of office.

3. Ms. Archana Patnaik while function as the Chief Electoral Officer, Tamil Nadu shall not hold any additional charge whatsoever under the Government of Tamil Nadu
