NOMINATION OF SEARCH COMMITTEE MEMBERS TO RECOMMEND A PANEL OF THREE PERSONS TO THE HON'BLE GOVERNOR-CHANCELLOR FOR SELECTION OF VICE-CHANCELLOR OF THE TAMIL NADU PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS UNIVERSITY, CHENNAI UNDER THE TAMIL NADU PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS UNIVERSITY ACT 2004.

It is notified that the persons specified in column (2) of the table below have been nominated by the authorities specified in the corresponding entries in column (3) thereof as members of the Search Committee under sub-section (1) and (2) of section 12 of Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University Act, 2004 as amended in Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University (Amendment) Act, 2017 (Tamil Nadu Act 44 of 2017), to recommend a panel of three persons to the Hon'ble Governor-Chancellor for appointment as Vice-Chancellor of the Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University, Chennai:-

(i)	Dr. S.T.N. Rajeswaran, Professor and Director of Physical Education, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore - 641 046.	Chancellor's Nominee
(ii)	Thiru. Atulya Misra, I.A.S., Additional Chief Secretary to Government (Youth Welfare and Sports Development Department), Secretariat, Chennai – 600 009.	Government's Nominee
(iii)	Dr. N. Rajendran, Former Vice- Chancellor, Alagappa University, Karaikudi – 630 003.	Syndicate's Nominee

2. Dr. S.T.N. Rajeswaran, shall be the Convener of the above Search Committee.

3. The above Committee shall recommend a panel of three names along with their bio-data to the Hon'ble Governor - Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University, Chennai as provided under sub-section (1) of section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University Act (Tamil Nadu Act 9 of 2005).
