In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 1 of the Tamil Nadu Mineral Bearing Land Tax Act, 2024 (Tamil Nadu Act 9 of 2025), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints that 4th day of April, 2025 as the date on which the said Act shall come into force.

Under sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Mineral Bearing Land Tax Act, 2024 (Tamil Nadu Act 9 of 2025), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby notifies the Deputy Director of Geology and Mining or the Assistant Director of Geology and Mining, as the case may be, of the district concerned as the notified authority.

Under sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Mineral Bearing Land Tax Act, 2024 (Tamil Nadu Act 9 of 2025), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints the Commissioner of Geology and Mining as the appellate authority.
