NOMINATION OF SEARCH COMMITTEE MEMBERS TO RECOMMEND A PANEL OF THREE NAMES TO THE GOVERNMENT FOR APPOINTMENT OF VICE-CHANCELLOR TO THE BHARATHIAR UNIVERSITY, COIMBATORE UNDER THE BHARATHIAR UNIVERSITY ACT, 1981.
AMENDMENTS TO NOTIFICATIONS
[G.O.(D) No.86, Higher Education (H2), 25th April 2025, சித்திரை 12, விசுவாவசு, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு-2056.] No. II(2)/HE/405(b-1)/2025.
Under sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 12 of the Bharathiar University Act, 1981 (Tamil Nadu Act 1 of 1982), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Higher Education Department Notification No. II (2)/HE/757(e)/2022, published at page 1 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 20th September, 2022, namely:-
Amendments.
In the said Notification, --
(1) in para 1,--
(a) for the expression "to the Hon'ble Governor-Chancellor", the expression "to the Government" shall be substituted;
(b) in the tabular column, in the third column, against serial number 1 in the first column, the expression "/Convener" shall be omitted;
(2) in para 2, for the expression "to the chancellor of the Bharathiar University", the expression "to the Government" shall be substituted.

Under sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 12 of the Bharathidasan University Act, 1981 (Tamil Nadu Act 2 of 1982), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Higher Education Department Notification No. II (2)/HE/1148(d)/2024, published at page 1 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 9th December, 2024, namely :-
Amendments.
In the said Notification, --
(1) in para 1, for the expression "to the Hon'ble Governor-Chancellor", the expression "to the Government" shall be substituted;
(2) para 3 shall be omitted;
(3) in para 4, for the expression "to the Hon'ble Governor-Chancellor of Bharathidasan University", the expression "to the Government" shall be substituted.
NOMINATION OF SEARCH COMMITTEE MEMBERS TO RECOMMEND A PANEL OF THREE NAMES TO THE GOVERNMENT FOR APPOINTMENT OF VICE-CHANCELLOR TO THE PERIYAR UNIVERSITY, SALEM UNDER THE PERIYAR UNIVERSITY ACT, 1997.

Under sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 12 of the Periyar University Act, 1997 (Tamil Nadu Act 45 of 1997), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Higher Education Department Notification No. II(2)/HE/1189(C)/2024, published at page 1 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, Extraordinary, dated the 13th December, 2024, namely :-
Amendments.
In the said Notification, --
(1) in para 1,
(a) for the expression "the Hon'ble Governor-Chancellor", the expression "to the Government" shall be substituted;
(b) the expression "Dr. D. Jothi Jagarajan, IAS (Retd), will be the Convener of the above Search Committee" shall be omitted.
(2) in para 2, for the expression "to the Hon'ble Governor-Chancellor of Periyar University", the expression "to the Government" shall be substituted.
