NOTIFICATIONS BY THE ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA
OFFICE OF THE RETURNING OFFICER FOR VICE-PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, 2025.
PUBLIC NOTICE OF ELECTION TO THE OFFICE OF VICE-PRESIDENT OF INDIA No.SRO G-24/2025.
WHEREAS a notification under sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Act, 1952, for the holding of an election to fill the Office of Vice-President of India has been issued by the Election Commission, I, P.C. MODY, the Returning Officer for such election, do hereby give notice that—
(i) nomination papers may be delivered by a candidate or any one of his proposers or seconders to the undersigned at his office in Room No. RS-28, First Floor, Parliament House, New Delhi, or if he is unavoidably absent, to the Assistant Returning Officers, Ms. Garima Jain, Joint Secretary/Shri Vijay Kumar, Director, Rajya Sabha Secretariat at the said office between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on any day (other than a public holiday) not later than Thursday, the 21st August, 2025;
(ii) each nomination paper shall be accompanied by a certified copy of the entry relating to the candidate in the electoral roll for the Parliamentary constituency in which the candidate is registered as an elector;
(iii) every candidate shall deposit or cause to be deposited a sum of Rupees Fifteen Thousand only. This amount may be deposited in cash with the Returning Officer at the time of presentation of the nomination paper or deposited earlier in the Reserve Bank of India or in a Government Treasury and in the latter case a receipt showing that the said deposit of the sum has been so made is required to be enclosed with the nomination paper;
(iv) forms of nomination papers may be obtained from the above said office at the time aforesaid;
(v) the nomination papers, other than those rejected under sub-section (4) of Section 5B of the Act, will be taken up for scrutiny at the said office in Room No. F-100, Sangoshthi-2, First Floor, Parliament House, New Delhi, on Friday, the 22nd August, 2025 at 11 a.m.;
(vi) the notice of withdrawal of candidatures may be delivered by a candidate, or any one of his proposers or seconders who has been authorised in this behalf in writing by the candidate, to the undersigned at the place specified in paragraph (i) above before three o'clock in the afternoon of Monday, the 25th August, 2025;
2 TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY(vii) in the event of the election being contested, the poll will be taken on Tuesday, the 9th September, 2025 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the place of polling fixed under the rules.

இந்தியக் குடியரசுத் துணைத் தலைவரின் பதவியை நிரப்புவதற்கென தேர்தல் ஒன்றை நடத்துவதற்கு, குடியரசுத் தலைவர் மற்றும் குடியரசுத் துணைத் தலைவர் தேர்தல்கள் சட்டம், 1952-ன் 4-வது பிரிவில் கண்ட 1-வது உட்பிரிவின் கீழ் அறிவிக்கை ஒன்றை தேர்தல் ஆணையம் பிறப்பித்துள்ளபடியால், அத்தேர்தல் குறித்த தேர்தல் நடத்தும் அதிகாரியாகிய ப்பி. சி. மோடி ஆகிய நான் கீழ்க்கண்டவாறு அறிவிப்பு செய்கிறேன் -
(1) வேட்பு மனுக்களை வேட்பாளர் ஒருவர் அல்லது அவரை முன்மொழிபவர் அல்லது வழிமொழிபவர்களில் எவரேனும் ஒருவர், 2025-ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 21-ஆம் நாளான வியாழக்கிழமை பிற்படாமல் (பொது விடுமுறை நாள் நீங்கலாக) எந்த ஒரு நாளிலும் காலை 11.00 மணியிலிருந்து மாலை 3.00 மணிவரை புதுடில்லி நாடாளுமன்ற இல்லம், முதல் தளத்தில் உள்ள அறை எண்.ஆர்.எஸ்.28- இல், கீழே கையொப்பம் இட்டவரது அலுவலகத்தில், அவரிடம் அல்லது தவிர்க்கமுடியாத காரணத்தால் அவர் அங்கு இல்லாவிடில், உதவி தேர்தல் நடத்தும் அதிகாரிகளாகிய திருமதி. கரிமா ஜெயின், இணைச் செயலாளர் அல்லது திரு. விஜய் குமார், இயக்குநர், மாநிலங்களவைச் செயலகம் அவர்களிடம் சேர்ப்பிக்கலாம்.
(2) வேட்பாளர் எந்த நாடாளுமன்றத் தொகுதியில் வாக்காளராக உள்ளாரோ அந்தத் தொகுதியின் வாக்காளர் பட்டியலில் அந்த வேட்பாளர் தொடர்பான பதிவின் சான்றளிக்கப்பட்ட நகல் ஒன்றினை ஒவ்வொரு வேட்பு மனுவுடனும் சேர்த்து அனுப்ப வேண்டும்.
(3) ஒவ்வொரு வேட்பாளரும் பதினைந்தாயிரம் ரூபாய் டெபாசிட் தொகையாக செலுத்த வேண்டும் அல்லது அவ்வாறு இத்தொகை செலுத்தப்பட ஏற்பாடு செய்திருக்க வேண்டும். இத்தொகை ரொக்கமாக தேர்தல் நடத்தும் அதிகாரியிடம் வேட்பு மனு தாக்கல் செய்யப்படும் சமயத்தில் செலுத்தப்படலாம் அல்லது இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கியில் அல்லது அரசு கருவூலம் ஒன்றில், முன்னரே டெபாசிட் செய்து, அவ்வாறு டெபாசிட் செய்யப்பட்டதைக் காட்டும் ரசீதை வேட்பு மனுவுடன் இணைக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
(4) வேட்பு மனுப் படிவங்களை மேற்குறிப்பிட்ட நேரங்களில் மேற்படி அலுவலகத்திலிருந்து பெற்றுக் கொள்ளலாம்.
(5) மேற்படிச் சட்டத்தின் 5-பி பிரிவைச் சேர்ந்த (4) உட்பிரிவின் கீழ் நிராகரிக்கப்பட்டவை நீங்கலாக ஏனையவேட்புமனுக்கள் 2025- ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 22-ஆம் நாளான வெள்ளிக்கிழமை காலை 11.00 மணிக்கு புதுடில்லி நாடாளுமன்ற இல்லம், சங்கோஷ்தி-2, முதல் தளத்தில் உள்ள அறை எண்.எப்-100-இல் பரிசீலனைக்கு எடுத்துக் கொள்ளப்படும்.
(6) வேட்பு மனுக்களைத் திரும்ப பெறுவதற்கான அறிவிப்பு வேட்பாளரால் அல்லது அவர் எழுத்து மூலமாக இதுகுறித்து அதிகாரமளித்துள்ள, அவரை முன்மொழிந்தவர்கள் அல்லது வழிமொழிந்தவர்களில் எவரேனும் ஒருவரால் கீழே கையொப்பமிட்டவரிடம் 2025 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 25-ஆம் நாள் பிற்பகல் 3.00 மணிக்கு முன்பு மேலே பத்தி (1)-ல் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ள இடத்தில் சேர்ப்பிக்கப்படலாம்.
(7) தேர்தலில் போட்டியிருக்குமானால், இவ்விதிகளில் முடிவு செய்துள்ள தேர்தல் நடைபெறும் இடத்தில் 2025 ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 9-ஆம் நாளான செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை காலை 10.00 மணியிலிருந்து மாலை 5.00 மணிவரையில் வாக்குப் பதிவு நடைபெறும்.
