No.II(2)/BCMBCMW/1183/2025.— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 2 of the Kazis Act, 1880 (Central Act XII of 1880), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints Thiru. N.P.Usman Mohideen, S/o Thiru. N.Peer Mohamed, residing at New No. 7, Old No.7212, 1st Avenue, Ashok Nagar, Chennai District as the Kazi (Sunnis) for Chennai District. He shall hold the office of the District Kazi for a period of three years from the date of issue of this order.

No.II(2)/CTR/1184/2025.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub section (1) of Section 9 of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (Central Act II of 1899) and in supersession of the Commercial Taxes and Registration Department Notification No.II(2)/CTR/713/2009, published at page 556 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 30th December 2009, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby remits the duty chargeable under the said Act amounting to Rs.9,56,81,006/- (Rupees Nine crore fifty six lakh eighty one thousand and six only) in respect of instruments of sale executed in favour of the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board for the Schemes implemented by the said Board in temple and private Lands in the villages comprised in the Survey numbers as mentioned in the Table below:-

For the expression "Rs.40,00,000/- (Rupees Forty Lakh Only)" appearing in the said notification, the expression "Rs.90,00,000/- (Rupees Ninety Lakh Only)" shall be substituted.

WHEREAS, complaints have been received from a number of depositors that Messrs Neomax Properties Private Limited and its sister concerns, Madurai District, financial establishments, have defaulted the return of deposits made by the depositors after maturity;
AND WHEREAS, the Government are satisfied that the said financial establishments are not likely to return the deposits to the depositors and hence, the Government have to protect the interests of such depositors;
AND WHEREAS, in addition to the immovable and movable properties ad-interimly attached in the Government Orders first to ninth read above, the movable properties specified in the Schedule to this Order are alleged to have been procured by the said financial establishments from and out of the deposits collected from the depositors;
AND WHEREAS, the Hon'ble Madurai Bench of Madras High Court in its Order 10th read above, among others has ordered below:

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1997 (Tamil Nadu Act 44 of 1997), the Governor of Tamil Nadu, hereby, makes an ad-interim order attaching the movabie properties of the defaulted financial establishments, namely, Messrs Neomax Properties Private Limited and its sister concerns, functioned at Door No.85, Subramaniya Pillai Street, Ricky Tower 2nd Floor, By-Pass Road, S.S.Colony, Madurai, as specified in the Schedule to this Order and transfers the control over the said movable properties to the Competent Authority, namely, the Superintendent of Police, South Zone, Economic Offences Wing, appointed under the said Act, by taking into account the direction of the Hon'ble Madurai Bench of Madras High Court in its order 10th read above.
2. The Competent Authority/ Superintendent of Police, South Zone, Economic Offences Wing is directed to make necessary arrangements of bid process for the movable properties attached in the Schedule to this Order, as per the direction issued by the Hon'ble Madurai Bench of Madras High Court in the order 10th read above.
3. The Special Public Prosecutor, Special Court for the Tamii Nadu. The Competent Authority and District Revenue Officer, Tirunelveli District is requested to pursue further action in accordance with the procedure laid down in sub- sections (3) and (4) of section 4 of the said Act and also the formalities prescribed in the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Rules, 1997.
3. The Special Public Prosecutor, Special Court for the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1997, Madurai, is requested to render necessary assistance to the Competent Authority and District Revenue Officer, Tirunelveli District in filing the application before the Special Court constituted under the said Act.
