In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Act, 1998 (Tamil Nadu Act 9 of 1999), the Director of Municipal Administration hereby fixes that the Council of the Municipal Corporations specified in column (2) of the Schedule below shall consist of the number of Councillors specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) thereof, inclusive of the Chairperson with effect on and from the next ordinary election:-
