Based on the Announcement of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on the floor of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on 29.04.2025, a medal was instituted in the name of the "Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Medal for Excellence in Intelligence (20 Nos.) and Excellence in Special Operations" (10 Nos.) in the order 1st read above.

கார்த்திகை 9, விசுவாவசு, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு-2056.] No.II(2)/EGY/1316/2025.— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 14 of the Tamil Nadu Tax on Consumption or Sale of Electricity Act, 2003 (Tamil Nadu Act 12 of 2003), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes an exemption in respect of the Electricity Tax payable under the said Act on energy sold for consumption in respect of M/s. Techno Activewear Private Limited for a period with effect on and from the date of publication of this notification till 28th February 2029.

2. The Director General of Police/Head of Police Force (i/c), Chennai, in his letter 2nd read above has requested to increase the upper limit of sanction of the said medals in respect of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Medal for Excellence in Intelligence from 20 to 30 and Excellence in Special Operation from 10 to 20 as detailed below:-
a) Additional Director General of Police, Intelligence will be the Nodal Officer and propose suitable nomination for 10 numbers in Operations & 20 numbers in Intelligence; and

3. The above request of the Director General of Police/Head of Police Force (i/c), Chennai was examined carefully and independently and it was decided to accept it.
