By virtue of the power vested in me by Article 155 and 160 of the Constitution of India, I, Droupadi Murmu, President of India, hereby appoint Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Governor of Kerala to discharge the functions of the Governor of Tamil Nadu with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
Given at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, this fifth day of March in the year two thousand twenty-six (14th Phalguna, 1947 Saka), in the seventy-seventh year of the Republic of India.

Whereas Thiru R.N. Ravi, Governor of Tamil Nadu has on the 11th March, 2026 demitted the Office of the Governor of Tamil Nadu and WHEREAS the President of India has appointed Thiru Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Governor of Kerala to discharge the functions of the Governor of Tamil Nadu.
It is hereby notified that Thiru Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has entered upon his Office on 12.03.2026.
