A Government Order and Notification were issued for the restructuring and upgradation of the Harur Town Panchayat—by merging with it two Village Panchayats situated within the Harur Panchayat Union in Dharmapuri District—into a new Municipal Council. Accordingly, an Order is hereby issued, and a Notification is published in accordance with Section 15, Sub-section (4)(i) of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 21/1994), for the restructuring of rural local bodies by excluding the two aforementioned Village Panchayats from the Harur Panchayat Union.

தருமபுரி மாவட்டம், அரூர் ஊராட்சி ஒன்றியத்திலுள்ள 2 கிராம ஊராட்சிகளை அரூர் பேரூராட்சியுடன் இணைத்து புதிய நகராட்சி மன்றமாக தரம் உயர்த்தி மறுசீரமைப்பு செய்து அரசாணை மற்றும் அறிவிக்கை வெளியிடப்பட்டது – அரூர் ஊராட்சி ஒன்றியத்தில் உள்ள 2 கிராம ஊராட்சிகளை நீக்கி ஊரக உள்ளாட்சி அமைப்புகளை மறுசீரமைப்பு செய்து ஆணை மற்றும் தமிழ்நாடு ஊராட்சிகள் சட்டம், 1994 (தமிழ்நாடு சட்டம் 21/1994) பிரிவு 15, உட்பிரிவு (4)(i)-ன்படி அறிவிக்கை வெளியிடப்படுகிறது.

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (i) of sub-section (4) of section 15 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1994) and in partial modification of the Notification published in respect of declaration of Harur Panchayat Development Block under sub-section (3) of that section, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby excludes the local areas comprised in the Mobiripatti and Dhoddampatti Village Panchayats from the Harur Panchayat Development Block in Dharmapuri District, consequent on their inclusion within the Harur Municipal Council by Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department vide Notification No.II(2)/MAWS/913(i)/2025, published at page 1 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 25th August 2025.

2. Based on the above exclusion, wards will be divided for the next ordinary election.
