Amendment to the Rules of The Madras High Court Arbitration Centre (MHCAC)
(Internal Management) Rules, 2017

No. SRO C-13/2026.
In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 11 of the Madras High Court Arbitration Centre (MHCAC) (Internal Management) Rules, 2017, the Hon'ble The Chief Justice of the High Court of Madras is pleased to make the following amendment to "The Madras High Court Arbitration Centre (MHCAC) (Internal Management) Rules, 2017".
The following amendments shall come into force with effect from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Amendments
In the said rules,
I
in Rule 2(1)(h) under the heading "Definitions" the existing entries shall be substituted by the following entries:-
"Registrar" and "Deputy Registrar and Assistant Registrars" mean the persons appointed in terms
of Rule 6 of these Rules;
II
in Rule 6(1)(b) under the heading "The Secretariat" the existing entries, shall be substituted by the following entries :
"One post of Deputy Registrar and Assistant Registrars to be appointed by promotion from the
Madras High Court Service to assist the Registrar"

Amendment to the Rules of The Madras High Court Arbitration Proceedings Rules, 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by Rule 37 of the Madras High Court Arbitration Proceedings Rules, 2017 the Hon'ble The Chief Justice of the High Court of Madras is pleased to make the following amendment to "The Madras High Court Arbitration Proceedings Rules, 2017".
The following amendment shall come into force with effect from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Amendment
In the said rules, in Rule 2(1)(o) under the heading "Definitions" the existing entries, shall be substituted by the following entries :
"Registrar means the persons appointed as Registrar and Deputy Registrar, Assistant Registrars as
the case may be, in terms of Rule 6 of The Madras High Court Arbitration Centre (MHCAC) (Internal
Management) Rules 2017"
