CONDUCT OF ELECTION TO FILL UP THE CASUAL VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF CHAIRPERSON OF DEVARAKONDA MUNICIPALITY .
No.477/TSEC-ULBs/2018.– In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 243-ZA of Constitution of India, Sections 10A and 10B read with Section 23 of the Telangana Municipalities Act, 1965, (Act 6 of 1965), and Rule 3, 4 and 8 of the Telangana Municipalities (Conduct of Election of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson) Rules, 2005, the State Election Commissioner, hereby, directs the Collector and District Election Authority, Nalgonda District to authorize a Gazetted Officer of the Government to conduct election to the casual vacancy in the Office of Chairperson, Devarakonda Municipality, in Nalgonda District in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said Act and Rules and fixes the schedule for the said election in the Annexure appended to this Notification.

V. NAGI REDDY, State Election Commissioner. NOTE:– If for any reason election to the said office is not held on 23-07-2018 it shall be held on the next day i.e., on 24-07-2018 whether or not it is observed as a holiday by the Municipality under Section 23 (1) of the said Act.
