INDIRECT ELECTIONS TO THE CASUAL VACANCIES OF PRESIDENT OF MANDAL PRAJA PARISHADS OF VELDANDA, PEDDEMUL AND GEESUGONDA IN NAGARKURNOOL, VIKARABAD AND WARANGAL RURAL DISTRICTS.
No.24/TSEC-PR/2018.– In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 243-K of the Constitution of India and sections 196 and 197 of Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018 (Act No. 5 of 2018), and Rule 13 of Telangana Conduct of election of Co-opted Member, President and Vice-President of Mandal Praja Parishad and Co-opted Members, Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of Zilla Praja Parishad Rules, 2018 issued in G.O.Ms.No.27, PR & RD (PTS.III) Dept., dtd: 19-05-2018, the State Election Commissioner, Telangana, hereby, directs the Collector and District Election Authority, Nagarkurnool District to authorise a Gazetted Officer of the Government to conduct election to the casual vacancy of President of Veldanda Mandal Praja Parishad in Nagarkurnool District Collector and District Election Authority, Vikarabad District to authorise a Gazetted Officer of the Government to conduct election to the casual vacancy of President of Peddemul Mandal Praja Parishad in Vikarabad District and Collector and District Election Authority, Warangal Rural District to authorise a Gazetted Officer of the Government to conduct election to the casual vacancy of President of Geesugonda Mandal Praja Parishad in Warangal Rural District in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said rules and specifies the schedule for the election to the said office in the Annexure appended to this Notification.
NOTE:– In the event of a vacancy in the office of an elected member of Mandal Praja Parishad occurs for
any reason after the issue of President, Mandal Praja Parishad casual election notification by the State
Election Commission, the election to the office of President shall not stalled and shall be conducted as
per the schedule.

Officers authorized by the District Collectors, Nagarkurnool, Vikarabad and Warangal Rural On or before Districts calling for a special meeting for election to the 23-07-2018 casual vacancies in the office of President of Veldanda Mandal Praja Parishad in Nagarkurnool District, Peddemul Mandal Praja Parishad in Vikarabad District and Geesugonda Mandal Praja Parishad in Warangal Rural District.
(This notice should be given to the members specified in clauses (i) to (vi) of sub-section (1) of Section 143 of TPR Act, 2018 atleast three clear days in advance of the date of the meeting fixed for the said election).
