CONDUCT OF INDIRECT ELECTION TO THE OFFICE OF MAYOR AND DEPUTY MAYOR OF RAMAGUNDAM MUNICIPAL CORPORATION IN PEDDAPALLY DISTRICT.

No. 625/TSEC-ULBs/2018:- In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 9, 10 and 90 of the GHMC, Act, 1955 read with Section 14 of Telangana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994, and rule 3, and 4 of Telangana Municipal Corporations (Conduct of Election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor) Rules. 2005, the State Election Commission, hereby, directs the District Collector or Joint Collector of Peddapally District authorized by the Election Authority and Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration, Telangana, Hyderabad to conduct elections to the office of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Ramagundam Municipal Corporation in Peddapally District in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said Act and Rules and fixes the schedule for the said elections in the Annexure appended to this Notification.

Notice to be given in Form-II by the District Collector or Joint Collector of Peddapally District authorized by the Election Authority & CDMA calling for a special meeting for conduct of election to the office of Mayor and Deputy Mayor. This notice should be given to all the members of the Ramagundam Municipal Corporation specified in Sub-section (1) and (1A) of Section 5 of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, 1955 (duly indicating the note mentioned below).	on or before 12-09-2018
2.	Date and Time of the special Meeting for the election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Ramagundam Municipal Corporation on.	At 11.00 AM on 17-09-2018

Note:- If for any reason election to the said Office is not held on 17.09.2018 it shall be held on the next day, i.e., on 18.09.2018, whether or not it is a holiday observed by the Municipal Corporation.
