CONDUCT OF ELECTION TO FILL UP THE CASUAL VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF CHAIRPERSON OF BELLAMPALLY MUNICIPALITY IN MANCHERIAL DISTRICT.

No.612/TSEC-ULBs/2018-2.-In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 243-ZA of Constitution of India, Sections 10 A and 10 B read with Section 23 of the Telangana Municipalities Act, 1965, (Act 6 of 1965) and Rule 3, 4 and 8 of the Telangana Municipalities (Conduct of Election of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson) Rules, 2005, the State Election Commissioner, hereby, directs the Collector and District Election Authority, Mancherial District to authorize a Gazetted Officer of the Government to conduct election to the casual vacancy in the Office of Chairperson, Bellampally Municipality in Mancherial District in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said Act and Rules and fixes the schedule for the said election in the Annexure appended to this Notification.

Notice to be given in Form-II by the Gazetted Officer authorized by the District Collector, Mancherial District calling for a special meeting for conduct of election to the Office of Chairperson of Bellampally Municipality. (This notice should be given to all the members of Bellampally Municipality specified in clauses (i) to (iv) of sub-section (2) of Section 5 of Telangana Municipalities Act, 1965 (duly indicating the note mentioned below)	on or before 12-09-2018
2.	Date and Time of the special meeting for the election of Chairperson of Bellampally Municipality.	At 11.00 AM on 17-09-2018

Note: If for any reason election to the said office is not held on 17-09-2018, it shall be held on the next day i.e., on 18-09-2018 whether or not it is observed as a holiday by the Municipal Body under Section 23(1) of the said Act.
